Terry J. Gullion, 63, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at CHI Health/Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 4, 1961 in Lexington, Nebraska to Charles E. and Louise E. (Miler) Gullion. Terry received his education from Lexington Public Schools. Following high school, Terry enlisted in the United States Army, where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge.

Following his discharge, Terry moved back to Lexington where he married the love of his life, Nancy Jean Rader. Two daughters were blessed to this union: Stacy and Lindsey.

Terry always kept himself busy. He worked for Cozad Services as a plumber; worked at the Holiday Inn/Kearney as a maintenance manager and worked for the State of Nebraska at Lexington.

He was a member of the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department, was a CPR/1st Aid Instructor for Central Community College and training center faculty. Terry loved being involved and volunteering in the community. He was a past member of the Lexington Alumni Association, American Cancer Society, he also worked at the Raceways and ran the demolition derbies with competition plus.

Anyone who knew Terry knew he was passionate about many things. Including painting yard ornaments for his friends, which he was very meticulous with the details. He loved music, always working on his crossword puzzles and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, watching them play basketball. He was a homebody and loved keeping a routine. He was a big man with a soft heart.

He was always busy learning new things and enjoyed visiting with people. Terry was very giving and would help other in any way he could. Terry will long be remembered as the guy who always had a winning smile, a ready laugh, a joke or just a shoulder to all who loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of Lexington; his daughters, Stacy (Bryan) Baker of Waverly and Lindsey Gullion of Lincoln; grandchildren, Carter, Miles, Mason, Callen, and Avery; sister, Connie (Denny) Miller of Panama, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Connie Rader of Lexington; brother-in-law, Bryce Rader of Cozad; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Besides his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brother, David H. Gullion; father-in-law, Billy Rader and granddaughter, Larissa.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will take place following the visitation at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington. A meal will follow at the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department, Lexington Alumni Association, the Dawson County Cancer Fund, or Central Community College.
