Terri L. Warta, 64, of Cozad, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Cozad Community Hospital. She was born October 25, 1955 to Walter and Winona (Bowen) Bowles in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended school in Missouri at North Kansas City High School. She went on to earn her GED and LPN. She worked for various doctors while living in the Kansas City area. She was united in marriage to David Warta on September 22, 1986 at Cozad Church Of Christ. While living in Cozad Terri worked for South Central Developmental Services. Terri loved her animals in which she had quite a few. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Cozad Christian Church. She was also a former member of the Jaycee’s in Cozad. She discovered Facebook a few years ago and enjoyed keeping up with friends and family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and loved them very much. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her husband, David of Cozad; children, Mark (Sheila) Ballard of Lincoln and Michelle (James) Sause of Omaha; five grandchildren, Braxton and Bailey Ballard and Aubrey, Aidan and Addison Sause; one sister, Jane (Rick) Hylton of Naulehu, Hawaii; mother-in-law, Mona Rae Douty of Shallotte, North Carolina; lifelong friend, Linda Noll of Liberty, Missouri; also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Mark and Walter “Skipper” Bowles. Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cozad Christian Church with Pastor Mike Moore, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at the Cozad Christian Church. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
