Shirley M. Lobdell, 88, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Elwood Care Center.

She was born on July 1, 1937, in Cozad, Nebraska, to Voyel and Irene (Buss) Troxel. Shirley attended public school in Cozad where she would later receive her GED. On December 21, 1952, Shirley was united in marriage to Rodney Lobdell in Norton, Kansas. Four children were blessed to this union: Shane, Lance, Brand Lee, and Chris. She was an exceptional knitter, with her specialty being Afghans. Shirley loved being with her children and grandchildren, taking care of animals and watching the birds. She had a green thumb and was able to keep her African Violets looking gorgeous.

Survivors include her children, Shane (Cheri) Lobdell of Lexington, Chris Lobdell of Lexington, and Lance (Barb) Lobdell of Superior; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
