Sharon Kay Spuhler

Sharon Kay Spuhler, 64, of Cozad, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Cozad.

She was born on October 13, 1961, in Lexington, Nebraska to Robert and Mildred (Way) Spuhler. She attended public school in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. 

Sharon was in a long-term partnership with Robert Franklin "Frank" Dugger. The couple were blessed with three children: Michael, Jessica and Sarah. Sharon spent many years working as a certified nursing assistant at the local nursing homes until her retirement. She enjoyed staying home and working on her crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her daughters, Jessica Hydo of Gothenburg, and Sarah (Logan) Fellers of Lexington; grandson, Travis Hydo of Gothenburg; brother, Lewis (Vicky) Spuhler of Brady; sisters, Cynthia (Andy) Tenis of Colorado Springs, and Jayne Talbot of Lexington, as well as extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her partner, Frank; son, Michael; grandson, Caleb; and sister, Barb.

Cremation has taken place, and services will be held at a later date.
