Sarah Faith Louise Steele

Sarah Faith Louise Steele, 32, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Nebraska.

She was born on November 3, 1993, to Craig Steele and Angie Miller in Kearney, Nebraska. She grew up in Gothenburg where she attended school.

While in school Sarah played volleyball and thrived in choir. Music has always been a big part of her life. She didn’t graduate but was working on getting her GED in Hastings. Along with her GED she was working, thriving in her recovery and improving herself a little each more every day.

Outside of school she was all about her friends. There wasn’t a day to go by without Shelby or Adam not being around, along with many of close friends.

Sarah was always jumping in to help friends in any way possible. She had such. Big heart she wore on her sleeve, love of dumpster diving to gather all her treasures, a laugh that would make you forget the joke and laugh because of hers. Music and style are what she was truly known for. She took the opportunity to express herself fully with her clothes, even if it included pajamas.

Those left here missing her smile are her son, Ryker Darren James Steele; her husband, Arthur Houts; mother, Angie Miller of Lexington; father Craig and stepmother Angela Steele of Gibbon; grandmother, Nita Krueger; Grandma Lou from Ravenna; siblings, Mitchell Morrison, Cassandra Steele of Gothenburg, Samantha Schutz of Hastings and Marisa Vavra; step brothers, Josh Weise and Matthew Beaty; stepsister, Raeliegh Pacheco; Aunt, Robyn Lange; cousins Nikki and Curtis as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by her sister, Madison Schutz, grandma Barb, grandpa Terry Miller, grandpa Gary Herrmann, grandma and grandpa Steele, grandpa Dale Krueger, Uncle Terry, Aunt Bobbie, Aunt Tammy and her cousin Tarah Refior.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the LexChristian Church in Lexington with Pastor Jack Govier, officiating. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
