Robert “Bobby” Louis Donohue Jr., 59, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, with his daughter by his side.

Bobby was born on June 10, 1967, in Gainesville, Florida, to Margaret Shaw and Robert Louis Donohue Sr. During his younger years, he moved to Nebraska and attended school in Gibbon where he later got his GED.

Bobby later moved to Colorado, where he met and married his first wife, Karen Sorensen. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Nicole “Nikki” Donohue. They later divorced, and Bobby went on to remarry and was blessed with four more children: Dalton, Cody, Brett, and Diamond.

Bobby was always a hardworking man. Whether he was doing odd jobs or driving a truck, he was never afraid to put in an honest day’s work. He spent many years driving an over-the-road semi out of Texas before eventually deciding to return to Nebraska so he could be closer to his daughter and grandchildren.

After moving back to Nebraska, Bobby began driving truck for MRK in Lexington. He absolutely loved his job and thought very highly of the people he worked with. His coworkers became an important part of his life, and he often spoke about how much he enjoyed working alongside them.

Bobby’s passing was sudden and completely unexpected, leaving his family with a loss they were never prepared to face. His hardworking spirit, unforgettable personality, and the memories he created with those who loved him will never be forgotten.

Bobby is survived by his children, Nikki Donohue of Lexington, Nebraska; Dalton Donohue of Shamokin, Pennsylvania; Cody Donohue of Coal Township, Pennsylvania; Diamond Donohue of Shamokin, Pennsylvania; and Brett Donohue of Coal Township, Pennsylvania.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Steven, Brooklyne, Kreighton, Raelyn, Maddilyne, and Scarlett; his special friends, Robby and Tammy Linden; and many extended friends who became like family to him.

Bobby was preceded in death by both of his parents, Margaret Shaw and Robert Louis Donohue Sr.

In accordance with Bobby’s wishes, he will be cremated.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Paul Thomas officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with Bobby’s final expenses.
