Regina Roxanna Evans, 52, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at her home.
She was born on May 14, 1972, in Amarillo, Texas, to Gary and Mary (Graef) Evans. She attended public school in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School with the class of 1990. She spent her entire life in Texas until 2021, when she made her home in Lexington, Nebraska, to be closer to her sons. Regina loved caring for others and spent many years working as a CNA and as a paramedic until her health began to decline.
Regina was devoted to her faith, which helped her endure and persevere during some of the toughest moments in life. She never failed to read her bible at least once a day. She was incredibly social, having daily phone calls with her family and spending time with her friends. She enjoyed arts and crafts and gambling. She also enjoyed playing video games, her favorite being The Sims and Tomb Raider. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a grandmother to her 16 grandchildren, who she loved and adored.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Haylee Evans of Shallow Water, Texas, Michael Kirven of New Mexico, Tramaine Kirven of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Dajamae Evans of Odessa, Texas, and Cristobal Calderon of Lexington; sister, Jill Malone of Marshville, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Restored Christian Fellowship in Dimmit, Texas.
