Lexington

Randy Lee Zeleski, 66, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ridgeway Senior Living in Lexington.

He was born on December 31, 1958, in Lexington, Nebraska to Zigmund and Rosemary (Waltman) Zeleski. He attended public school in Lexington and graduated from St. Anns High School with the class of 1977. At a young age, Randy began working for Shotkoski Hay Company before moving to Loup City where he met Jane Janulewicz. The two were united in marriage on March 21, 1981. Two daughters were blessed to this union: Heather and Megan. The couple would later move to Arcadia for five years until 1986, when they made their home in Lexington. This marriage would later end in divorce.

Once Randy was back in Lexington, he began working for Cal Stock for a number of years, briefly for Bruce Stuart, before then working for Hillside Farms until his retirement in 2024, running the haying division. Randy was an incredibly hard worker and very organized both in his shop and paperwork. He had a great love for horses and all animals, playing pitch, and those who knew Randy, knew he loved a good joke. Randy was proud of his collection of John Deere toy tractors and Tonka trucks, and equipment. Randy took a great interest in the Easter Egg Hunt this year at Ridgeway, and was a generous monthly donor to the St. Jude's Children’s Cancer Research Foundation.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Rosemary Zeleski of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughters, Heather (JP Plum) Zeleski of Littleton, Colorado, and Megan (Ted) Unterseher of Grandview, Texas; grandchildren, Jayden Zeleski Unterseher, Rea Unterseher, Paisyn Unterseher, and Gianna Plum; siblings, Jeanne Longworth of Salt Lake City; Rick (Vicki) Zeleski of Overton, and Sheryl Fellers of Cozad, and as well as extended family and friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Zigmund Zeleski and grandson, Ryker Robert Zeleski Unterseher.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
