Phyllis J. Brim

Phyllis J. Brim, 88, of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at the Lexington Regional Medical Center in Lexington, Nebraska.

She was born October 20, 1933, at Palmer, Nebraska, to Edward and Anne (Rudolph) Sück. She graduated from Palmer High School and then attended summer school to receive her teaching degree. She taught school for two years before being a switch operator for two years with the telephone company. Phyllis was a homemaker while her children were growing up. Throughout her life she upholstered furniture, refinished wood, canned homegrown vegetables and cooked hundreds of geese and ducks.

While in high school, Phyllis was the pitcher for her softball team and was proud to lead them to a championship. She also enjoyed playing volleyball.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Carl C. Brim on January 15, 1954, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Carl preceded her in death on December 8, 2010.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Brim of Idaho and a daughter, Julie Brim of Johnson Lake.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
