Maria La Paz Robles Ramirez

Mary Robles Ramirez, born Maria La Paz Sanchez, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 91. 

She was born on May 4, 1934, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Pedro and Juanita (Torres) Sanchez.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to Florentino Robles and later to Johnnie Ramirez, who both preceded her in death. Mary was a dedicated mother to her son, Florentino Robles Jr., and daughters Pamela, Patricia, and Stephanie Robles. She was also a proud grandmother to Zachariah Robles, Monique Holt, and Ceara Hollis, as well as a great-grandmother to Duke Robles.

Mary had a passion for reading and could often be found with a book in hand throughout her life. She also enjoyed dancing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Mary had a warm and inviting personality, and her memory will be deeply cherished.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings Frank, Isaias (Chino), Mike, and Pete Sanchez, as well as Rosa Jones and Flora Valdez. 

She is survived by her sisters Patricia Galvan and Emily Valdez. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington, Nebraska.

 The rosary will follow at 7:00 PM. 

The funeral service will also be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM. 

She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Florentino, at St. Ann's Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Memorials are kindly suggested to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a charitable organization dear to Mary’s heart.
