Maria Guadalupe Raigoza, 70, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born on July 25, 1955, in Acatic, Jalisco, to Manuel Raigoza and Celedonia Gutierrez. On October 19, 1979, Maria was united in marriage to the love of her life, Rafael Villalobos in Acatic, Jalisco. They spent 47 wonderful years together. In 2002, Maria and her family made their home in Lexington, Nebraska, where she worked at Tyson for many years until her retirement.

Maria cared for her family deeply and loved spending time with them, celebrating family reunions, and making sure they all had something good to eat. Her favorite pastimes were talking to her friends on the phone when they were apart, sharing fun memories, and being near a beach or a lake. She enjoyed being in the water. There was always a special place in her heart for her hometown of Acatic, and she would visit often to reunite with her family and childhood friends. Maria oftentimes wanted to keep busy, knitting. She would make blankets for her children and clothes for her grandchildren. She could sit and knit all day if she could. She also enjoyed being in her garden, taking great care of her plants and vegetables that she and her husband grew every year. She was devout in her faith and was a longtime member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington.

Survivors include her husband, Rafael Villalobos of Lexington; children, Rafael (Miriam) Villalobos Raygoza of Lexington, Secilia (Angel) Gandara of Lexington, Catalina (Luis) Villalobos Raygoza of Lexington, Alejandro Villalobos Raygoza of Lexington, Luis (Cruz) Villalobos Raygoza of Lincoln, and Fernando (Rocio) Villalobos Raygoza of Omaha; grandchildren, Ariel Gandara, Josue Gandara, Sebastian Gandara, Valentin Gandara, Esteven Archila, Cristian Archila, Cristopher Villalobos, Rafael Jr Villalobos, Mateo Villalobos, and Aldo Villalobos; great-grandchild, Nailea Gandara; as well as extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her grandson, Jovanny Gandara.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez officiating. The service will be livestreamed via the Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Burial will be held after Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Lexington.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.

La precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su nieto, Jovanny Gandara.

La Misa de Entierro Cristiano se llevará a cabo el miércoles 1 de julio de 2026, a las 2:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Ana en Lexington con el Padre José Chávez oficiando. El servicio será transmitido en vivo a través de la página de Facebook de Reynolds-Love Funeral Home.
