Lorene M. Meyer

  Lorene M. Meyer, 88, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Broken Bow Care & Rehabilitation.   Lorene was born April 4, 1929, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Lorenz and Edith M. (Pickerill) Wilken. She attended school in Lexington.   She was united in marriage to Dick H. Meyer. Three children were born to this marriage; Grant, John, and Lorene E. Dick died in 1987. She enjoyed going to the Grand Generation Center where she loved visiting with friends.   Lorene made her home in Lexington for many years, until moving to Broken Bow when her health began to decline.   Survivors include two sons; Grant (Connie) Meyer of Cozad, Nebraska, and John Meyer of Broken Bow, Nebraska; one daughter, Lorene E. Meyer of Lincoln, Nebraska; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.   Lorene was preceded in death in addition to her husband, by her parents; and two brothers, Carl & Bill Engler.   It was Lorene’s wishes her body be cremated. There will be no visitation.   A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at l:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating.   Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.   Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
