Linda Lou Adams, 73, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Mount Carmel in Kearney, Nebraska.

She was born on October 13, 1952, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Ben and Mary Jane (Davis) Adams. Her early years were spent on a rented farm north of Lexington until her family purchased their own farm north of Elm Creek, Nebraska in 1956. She then attended a country school in Buffalo County until the third grade, when she entered Elm Creek Public School and later graduated with the class of 1971.

Linda went on to graduate from the Grand Island School of Business and began her career working as a data processor for the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, where she stayed for 32 years. After retirement, she was able to spend her time doing other things she loved. She was an avid baker, loved to sew, and enjoyed being with her nieces and nephews. Her pride and joy were the little dogs she had, Lola and Lily.

Linda is survived by her sister, Cathy Hill-Klein of Genoa, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Susan Adams of Elm Creek; nieces and nephews, Becky (Dean) Vagts of Anna, Texas, Brad Adams of Kearney, Ranelle (Bret) Korth of Raymond, Nebraska, and Byron (Melissa) Hill of Columbus, Nebraska; great-nieces and nephews, Ashley Vagts of Anna, Texas, and Creighton (Katy) Vagts of Melissa, Texas, Brayden, Braxsten, and Brody Korth of Raymond, Nebraska, and Lexus, Olivia, and Logan Hill of Columbus. She is also survived by her uncles, Homer Davis of Elm Creek, Howard (Erlene) Davis of Arapahoe; aunt, Georgia (Davis) Ashmore of Kearney, as well as cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mary Jane (Davis) Adams; brother, Mike Adams; grandparents, Robert and Esme Adams, and Homer and Faye Davis; brothers-in-law, Don Hill and Danny Klein.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Christina Hansen officiating.

Inurnment will be held after the service at Greenwood Cemetery.

There will be a luncheon to follow at Kirk's Nebraskaland Restaurant following the graveside service.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Kearney Area Animal Shelter or to Mount Carmel.
