Konnie Kay Turner, 68, of Overton, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the CountryHouse Residence in Kearney.
Konnie was born on September 24, 1957, in Overton to Bob and Lillias (Gehle) Davenport. She attended Overton Public School and graduated with the class of 1976. On September 16, 1978, she was united in marriage to Kevin Jaye Turner. They made their home in Overton and together were blessed with two children: a daughter, Emmy and a son, Tucker.
In her early years, Konnie worked as a waitress at Dotty's Cafe and Shaf's Place in Overton. She later provided in-home daycare, allowing her to remain home with her children during their younger years. Konnie went on to work alongside her parents at Foote Oil Company and later was employed as a Walmart associate in Kearney where she remained until her retirement.
Konnie enjoyed collecting antiques and making and collecting quilts. Her home was a warm and welcoming place, always adorned with beautiful quilts - both old and new - that reflected her creativity and care. She took pride in her home and loved decorating for all the holidays.
Konnie is survived by her daughter, Emmy (Travis) Long of Overton; son, Tucker Turner of Omaha; grandchildren, Kaven Raastad of Overton, Jorja Raastad of Kearney, and Jessa Long of Holdrege; sister, Tammy Blankenship of Kearney; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and her special canine companion, Moose.
Konnie was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Turner; her parents, Bob and Lillias Davenport, her brother, Danny Davenport; and her brothers-in-law, Bruce Blankenship and Ed Turner.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Lay Minister, Sarah Neben, officiating.
Burial will be held at the Overton Cemetery after the service.
