KC Chrisman, 76, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born on February 13, 1949, in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Raymond and Amanda (Shutte) Chrisman. KC grew up in Red Cloud and graduated from Red Cloud High School with the class of 1968. He went on to attend Central Nebraska Technical College where he received his associate's in electrical engineering. In 1970, KC moved to Lexington where he began working at Reach Electronics, designing circuit boards. This is where he would meet the love of his life, Gennivieve Hanna. They were united in marriage on February 5, 1971, in Lexington. Three daughters were blessed to this union: Charity, Caprice, and Kacey Anne.

Once Reach Electronics closed their doors, KC began working for Coleman's for a short time while also going back to college to upgrade his degree. He then went on to work for Nebraska Cellular, where he was in charge of maintaining the cell phone towers and making sure they all functioned correctly at all times. Once he retired, KC began working as a local bus driver, which turned into one of his favorite jobs yet. He loved being around the students.

KC was known as an incredibly intelligent man who loved to tinker and fix things during his down time. In his younger years, he had his pilot's license and would fly planes regularly. As he got older, although he didn't fly planes anymore, he was still fascinated by them and created model planes to fly instead. He also showed a great love of Lionel trains and was an avid ham radio fan. KC loved spoiling his daughters every chance he could and would continue the tradition with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor his memory is his beloved wife, Gennivieve Chrisman of Elwood; daughters, Charity (Lue III) Allan of Kearney, Caprice (Brian) Barnes of Lincoln, and Kacey Anne Chrisman of North Platte; grandchildren, Liberty (Syd) Horken of Lincoln, Nathaniel Allan of Lexington, Genna Allan of Kearney, Tyler Barnes and Kealy Barnes, both of Lincoln; and brother, Tom (Ila) Chrisman of Harvard, Nebraska; as well as extended family and many friends.

Besides his parents, KC was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Chrisman and his wife, Joy.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington with Lay Minister Sarah Neben officiating.
