Judith "Judy" Ann Sentelle, 83, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home.

She was born on March 18, 1943, in Silver Spring, Maryland to Charles and Faye (Hall) Grubb. She attended public school and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Maryland. Judy was blessed with four children, Jerry, Greg, Debbie and Vicki.

In 1976, Judy moved to Nebraska, where she dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mom for several years. She would later begin working at a number of local restaurants including The Green Lantern, The Red Barn, Little Paris, and Park Place Sandwich Shoppe. Hard work was not unknown to Judy and at times she would juggle several positions simultaneously. Later, Judy began a new professional chapter as a cook at the hospital, a role in which she served for fifteen years until her retirement.

Judy’s love for her family was central to her being. She found immense happiness in spending time with loved ones, making delicious home cooked meals for everyone. Cooking was not just a skill but a passion that she joyfully shared with family and friends. She enjoyed the occasional casino games and loved the suspense and storytelling of crime dramas. She enjoyed being around her friends and her weekly coffee group was a highlight—an opportunity to connect, chat, and share stories. She had a creative side as well, expressing herself through her poetry. She was an avid football fan, and loved following Clemson, West Virginia, the Washington Redskins and the Huskers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry (Lee) Sentelle of Kearney, Greg (Heather) Sentelle of Grand Island, and Debbie Sentelle of Lexington; grandchildren, Stacey (Ikrom) Artikov, Jessica Sentelle, Shantel (DJ) Miles, Tyrene (Christian) Hisey, Christopher Pooschke, Dalton Wamsley, Ethan Smith, Evan Smith, Morgan (Kelsey) Sentelle, William Sentelle, Jama Morrison, Sara Hecht, Richie Hecht, and Amber Hecht; bonus grandchildren, Trevor (Tisha) Meyer and Shannon (Jake) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Aiden Artikov, Isaac Artikov, Zoie Wamsley, Aria Wamsley and Maisie Miles; siblings, Alan Grubb of Clemson, South Carolina and Linda Zagorac of Largo, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki Sentelle; sister, Beverly Nawaz; Daughter-in-law, Shelly Sentelle, and lifelong best friends, Bob and Carol Meyer.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Rex Adams officiating.

Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Lexington with a luncheon to follow at the Calvary Assembly of God Church.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
