Juan S. Rodriguez

Juan S. Rodriguez, 59, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his home. He was born April 5, 1959 in Jalisco, Mexico to Nicolas & Maria (Sanchez) Rodriguez. Juan was united in marriage to Hilda (Marin) on March 30, 1979 in Oxnard, California. Four children were blessed to this union: Mayra, Juan, Karina & Ivan. The family moved to Lexington, Nebraska from California in 1994. Juan worked at IBP Beef Packing Plant for three years before he owned and operated two bars in Lexington called The Premier and Club B. He also owned two Car Dealerships and K’s Liquor. Juan enjoyed coaching the Zamora Soccer Team as well as fishing and running. Family was very important to Juan and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Hilda of Lexington, Nebraska; children, Mayra (Aron) Avalos of Lexington, Nebraska, Juan Rodriguez of El Paso, Texas, Karina (Jonathan) Lupercio of Lexington, Nebraska and Ivan Rodriguez of Lexington, Nebraska; four grandchildren; father, Nicolas Rodriguez of Mexico; brothers, Jose, Felipe, Fidel, Francisco and Ramon; sisters, Teresa, Gloria, Martha, Guadalupe, Paz & Mercedes. Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Following the traditional funeral service, cremation will take place and burial will be held at a later date in California. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
