Jane Marie Zeleski, 63, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Lexington, after a long battle with cancer.

Jane was born in Loup City, Nebraska on June 30, 1962, and was immediately adopted by Henry and Emily Janulewicz. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed every aspect of helping her parents with the farming life. Growing up, Jane had opportunities of being involved in 4H, school activities, and church. She graduated from Loup City High School with the class of 1980.

On March 21, 1981, Jane married Randy Zeleski at St. Josephat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The couple made their home in Arcadia, Nebraska before moving to Lexington in 1986. To this marriage, two children were born: Heather and Megan. The marriage later ended in divorce. Jane worked several jobs over the years, including at the care homes, community paging, working for Palmer Monument, and the child support offices. Her last job was at Worley Monument in Kearney as the office manager; a job she enjoyed to the fullest until her health no longer let her work.

Jane is survived by her daughters, Heather and Megan; her granddaughters; her brother, Gary; sisters, Alice, Janette and Karen; special friends and caregivers, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Barry, Sara, and Cheryl.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emily Janulewicz, stepmother, Jean, and her grandson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Emmanuel Edi, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Saint Josaphat's Cemetery in Loup City, Nebraska.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Dawson County Cancer Care Fund, the Grand Generation Center, or to the family for later designation.
