James "Jim" Van Mark, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in Cozad, Nebraska, surrounded by his loving family.
James was born on March 25th, 1934, in Torrington, Wyoming, to John and Anna (Flurry) Van Mark. His family moved to Sidney when he was five years old. He met his future wife, Jean Statley at church when they were children. They were united in marriage on December 31, 1954. They have two children, Larry and Janet.
Jim was a mechanic and worked for International Harvester in Sidney, Nebraska, Garden City, Kansas, and Lexington, Nebraska. He also went to work for New Holland as a welder and retired in 1991.
He loved wood working and making things with metal. Jim and Jean also loved being snowbirds, they spent twenty-three years in Alamo, Texas.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean; children, Larry (Laurie) and Janet; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
Besides Jim's parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Gladys and Anna Marie.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Berean Bible Church in Lexington with George Cheek and Pastor Felix Zaldivar officiating.
Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with family receiving guests from 4-6 p.m.
