Isaias Rafael Pop

Isaias Rafael Pop, 24, of North Platte, Nebraska, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in North Platte.

He was born on October 30, 2000, in El Monte, California, to Ernesto Pop Hernandez and Sonia E. Villa de Leon. At four months old, his family moved to Lexington, Nebraska. Isaias attended public schools in Lexington, where he took numerous honors classes throughout the years, did well academically and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2019. He then went on to further his education in Kearney at Central Community College, where he earned his degree in Mechatronics. In 2023, Isaias moved to North Platte, Nebraska, with his brother, Josue, where he worked at Walmart in the Distribution Center.

Isaias was known for being thoughtful of others, well organized, disciplined and intelligent. He enjoyed reading, poetry and was a detail-oriented artist when it came to drawing or sketching. He liked to show emotions throughout his drawings and, every once in a while, painted on his own shirts. He enjoyed designing his own unique tattoos based on the sketches that he drew. He loved spending time with his family, making the best memories with his nieces and nephews when he had time to visit. He loved being outdoors; spent a lot of his time out in nature. Like going to see the Grand Canyon, Nashville, Portland, Oregon, Cancun, going through the forests, watching waterfalls when he could take the time off. He enjoyed fishing when he could. On the rare occasion he wasn't outside, he was at home watching his favorite anime. Family was everything to Isaias, and he loved getting to be a fun uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his loving parents, Ernesto and Sonia of Lexington; siblings, Emelin (Belther) Arias of Lexington, Marel (Maclen) Sotelo of Brownfield, Texas, Abraham (Yuri) Pop of Lexington and Josue Pop of North Platte; his eleven nieces and nephews who he adored and loved; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Isaias will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Dios Es Amor Church in Lexington with Pastor Santos Ordonez, officiating.
