Henry Lee Schram

July 28, 1950 — February 22, 2021

Henry Lee Schram, 70, of Lexington passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at his home in Lexington.

Henry loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He cared about his family and friends. If he could he would give you the shirt off his back to help. If you needed an opinion or a question answered he was more than willing to help.

He was known as a hard worker and played as hard as he worked. He helped his dad when he was growing up on the farm, later he worked for the Lexington Sale Barn, Darr Hay Mill, and worked for Liehs Drilling before becoming Downey Drilling.

When it came to relaxing he loved the outdoors. You could find him either hunting, fishing or kicking back relaxing in the outdoors with his family and friends. He loved watching wildlife. He loved going on drives through the country and around the lake with his kids. He loved doing activities like making derby cars for Boy Scouts, helping the girls with Girl Scout activities. He loved hearing about the different outdoor adventures his grandkids and great grandkids are involved. His most favorite of fish stories was his great grandson getting a Master Angler award for catching a 30.25” fish.

He loved to travel. He went to different locations with his job; he’s been to Missouri, Kansas, Colorado and Arizona.  He lived in Arizona for a while. He came back to Nebraska so he can be closer to his kids.

He loved going out for coffee to meet up with his friends or going out with us kids. He enjoyed going out for a meal with us kids. He would call everyone on the holidays and birthdays wishing us well. He loved visiting over the phone also.

Henry is survived by his son, Henry, Jr. of Loomis and Laurel of Lexington, daughters; Charity Marquart and best friend, Bruce Hopkins of Funk, Penny and husband Terry Davis of Oconto and Faye Schram of Elm Creek, grandchildren; Samantha and husband Desmond Small, Melody Dudding and fiancé Josh Burks, Gracie Dudding, Kollin Dudding, Emily Dudding, Klarissa Randall and fiancé Michael Adams, Karina Jennings, Gabriel Fees, Makayah Schram and Daniel Fees, great grandchildren; Kornelius Oliver Small and Ellowyn Mary Small, sister-in-law, Peggy Schram of Lexington as well as extended family and many friends.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Alice Schram and his brother, John.
