Guadalupe M. Murillo

Guadalupe M. Murillo, 72, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Kearney Regional Medical Center.

She was born on March 2, 1948, in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Leonardo and Belen (Sanchez) Mora.

She was united in marriage to Angel Murillo in August of 1965 in Mexico. Seven children were blessed to this union: Laura, Belen, Miguel, Juan, Mario, Alejandra, and Maria. They made their home in Mexico, where she devoted her time caring for her family and homemaking. In 2000, Angel and Guadalupe moved to Lexington to be closer to family.

Guadalupe enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, watching soap operas and listening to music. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Guadalupe has left a tremendous legacy of love, and faith to her family.

She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Angel of Lexington; her children, Miguel Angel (Maria) Murillo of Loomis, Juan Carlos (Maria del Carmen) Murillo of Gibbon, Laura (Manuel) Reyez of Mexicali, Mexico, Belen (Javier) Sanchez of Lexington, Alejandra (Alvaro) Castro of Lexington, Mario Murillo of Sandstone, Minnesota and Maria Isela Murillo of Lexington; twenty-nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother and five sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and one sister.

Mass Of Christian Burial will be on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. The Mass will be live-streamed via Reynolds-Love Funeral Home Facebook page.

Face coverings will be required at the Church.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Interment will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery at Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
