Gennivieve Kay Chrisman, 76, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Elwood Care Center.

She was born on October 3, 1949, in Lexington, Nebraska. Her parents were Keith and Norma Jean (Luckett) Hanna. She graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1967. On February 5, 1971, Gennivieve was united in marriage to the love of her life, KC Chrisman, in Lexington. Three daughters were blessed to this union: Charity, Caprice, and Kacey Anne.

Genny moved to California after high school and lived with her Aunt for one year. When she came back to Nebraska she worked for Reach Electronics where she met KC. Later, she enjoyed working for her parents at their antique shop. She was able to bring her younger children to work with her there. Gennivieve had a lot of love in her heart, which she shared for many years with the children that she cared for while running her own daycare until her retirement. She enjoyed art and crafts. She created beautiful greeting cards for her friends and family. She enjoyed sewing and later in her life sewed bags for a children's home in Roswell, NM. She displayed an unwavering faith in her Lord and was a member of the First Christian Church in Lexington for several years. Family was also a large part of her life, adoring her daughters, her husband, and animals - especially her dog, Fancy.

Those left to honor her memory are her daughters, Charity (Lue III) Allan of Kearney, Caprice (Brian) Barnes of Lincoln, and Kacey Anne Chrisman of North Platte; grandchildren, Liberty (Syd) Horken of Lincoln, Nathaniel Allan of Lexington, Genna Allan of Kearney, Tyler Barnes and Kealy Barnes, both of Lincoln; brothers, Thomas (Judy) Hanna of New Mexico, and Michael Hanna of Ainsworth; as well as extended family and many friends.

Gennivieve was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Norma Jean Hanna; and her beloved husband, KC Chrisman.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington with Lay Minister Sarah Neben officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are kindly suggested to the Lexington Animal Clinic, 1301 W Pacific Ave, Lexington, Nebraska, 68850.
