Dorothy B. Longmore, 69, of Cozad, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at her home after a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born April 16, 1950 at Callaway, Nebraska to Carl Wesley and Loma June (Longmore) Ballenger. She was baptized at an early age at the EUB Church in Callaway. At a young age, her family moved to Overton. She received her education from Overton, graduating from Overton High School with the class of 1968.  She was united in marriage to Rodney Ray Longmore on August 31, 1974 in Overton, Nebraska and three children were blessed to this union: April, Tony and Donna. They made their home in Cozad where Dorothy focused her efforts on raising her children. Dorothy kept herself busy being involved in many organizations. She was the Grand Noble of Rebekah’s Lodge at one time, a member of Army Mothers and participated in the Gothenburg Bowling League. Family was very important to Dorothy and she loved working on Genealogy. She was a very good cook, enjoyed baking and working on puzzles.  She was an avid Nebraska Husker football fan and always enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate in school sports and activities. She leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Rodney of Callaway; her children, April (Matt) Dinges of Cozad, Tony (Robin) of Grand Island and Donna (Jermey) Siemering of Cozad; grandchildren, Chris Dinges (Alexis Beckman) of Gothenburg, Karly Siemering (Dakota Pooschke) of Overton, Trestin Siemering of Cozad, Jasper Dinges of Cozad, Austin Longmore of Lincoln, Caden Dinges of Cozad, Taylor Siemering of Cozad, Zachary Longmore of Cozad and Hannah Kubik of Grand Island; three great-grandchildren, Harrison Beckman and Harper Dinges of Gothenburg with one on the way, Braylynn Grace; two sisters, Darla (Larry) Banzhaf of Eustis and Dea (Tino) Lopez of Blanket, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers: Dave, Dale, Daryl & Wesley Ballenger. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Jason Banzhaf, officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial will be at Sand Valley Cemetery in Rural Callaway, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or National Kidney Foundation.   Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
