Delores (Diane) Richardson, 80, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Lexington Regional Health Center.

She was born on December 11, 1944, in Dodge City, Kansas to Frederick and Arlene (Williamson) Dickerson. Shortly after Diane began high school, the family relocated to Nebraska, where she later graduated with the Class of 1962 from Lexington High School.

On April 18, 1964, she was united in marriage to Merlin Richardson in Lexington, beginning a loving union that would span 61 years. Together, they were blessed with two daughters, Sherri and Nikki. Diane was a hard-working woman who spent many years working for Monroe's, Plectron, and later began a lengthy career working for Reach Electronics, later known as Veetronix, where she made electrical circuit boards.

During her free time, Diane enjoyed cooking, canning, and making Christmas goodies for her loved ones. One of her favorite things was weekly Yahtzee game nights with family. In her younger years, she enjoyed going camping with Merlin and was a long-time member of the Black Powder Club. Her favorite past times were getting to spend her evenings watching her granddaughter McKinna play softball and demo derbies. Diane was a devoted member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington, where her faith deeply shaped her life. She drew comfort and strength from her spiritual beliefs and cherished the peace she found in quiet moments.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Merlin "Butch" Richardson of Lexington; daughters, Sherri (Felipe Cardenas) Richardson, and Nikki Moats, both of Lexington; grandchildren, McKinna (Ajay Ambrose) Moats, and Dakota Rima; great-grandchildren, James Rima and Alexis Rima; sister, Jo Elaine (Marty) Fuchs of Dallas, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Arlene Dickerson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Lexington with Pastor Rex Adams officiating.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Calvary Assembly of God Church.
