Dennis "Farley" Fellers, 83, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.
He was born on September 11, 1942, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Floyd and Leona (Meyer) Fellers. He attended Lexington High School and graduated with the class of 1961. After graduation, Denny went straight to working, always dreaming of owning and operating his own truck and surely enough, he made it happen. He began hauling cattle and on December 1, 1964, he began his own livestock transfer service called Fellers Transfer. Fellers Transfer recently celebrated 62 years of business in the livestock hauling industry. On October 12, 1963, he was united in marriage to Marlene Brummet. Two children were blessed to this union: Troy and Sheli. Denny later began a long-time partnership with Pam Bourn, her Mr. wonderful, and they spent 25 beautiful years together.
Denny was known for his strong work ethic, dedicating many years trucking and loving every minute of it. On the rare occasion that he would take time off, you would find him at social functions with his friends and family, having a nice cocktail and some fun conversations. He enjoyed gambling and was great at Keno. He also liked spending his days out at his cabin by the lake. In his younger years, Denny was a member of the Plum Creekers.
Survivors include his children, Troy (Corey) Fellers, and Sheli (James) Garringer, both of Lexington; her Mr. Wonderful, Pam Bourn of Lexington; grandchildren, Margo (Torey) Thulin Hock of Lincoln, Caleb (Rozaline) Hock of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Logan (Sarah) Fellers of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Kayden Cansler, Brooklyn Thulin, and Harlow Rae Hock; sisters, Donna White of Lexington, and Delores Wright of Auburndale, Florida; as well as extended family and many friends.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Leona Fellers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kirks Nebraskaland Restaurant in Lexington.
A Private Family Inurnment will be held at a later date.
