Coby Gene Davenport

Coby G. Davenport, 64, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.

He was born on June 19, 1959, in Kearney, Nebraska. He is the son of Baldy and Larriet (Gehle) Davenport. On August 30, 1980, Coby and Cindy Steinbach were married and blessed with two children: Paige and Cooper. Coby followed the "family tradition" of trucking for most of his life. He owned and operated Foote Oil in Overton for several years and ultimately navigated back to trucking.

He always looked forward to card night (all night) with his buddies. Back in the day, he was all about the different Harley's he had owned and taking trips with his friends. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing, hunting, and having a "good time"! There are several words that describe Coby, but most of all he had a heart of gold and will be truly missed.

Coby is survived by his wife, Cindy of Overton; children, Paige (Jared) Wolfe of Glenvil, Nebraska and Cooper (Baley) Davenport of Overton; siblings, Rocky (Jackie) Davenport of Johnson Lake, Billi (Monte) Huckins of Overton, Tommye Davenport of Overton and Patch (Shelly) Davenport of Overton; grandchildren, Harper Lange, Hartley and Halsey Wolfe, Trux and Traylin Davenport; fur babies, Yeti, Diezel, and Roxie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

We would love for you to come and honor his life on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Overton Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Findley, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from Noon – 2:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.

Memorials are kindly suggested to the Kearney Humane Society, Overton Fire & Rescue or Overton United Methodist Church.

The family requests casual attire.
