Carolyn E. Lewis

Carolyn Elizabeth Lewis, 79, of Lexington, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska. She was born November 25, 1939 in Rhode Island to Walter John and Gladys Hart. She attended school in Queens, New York. She went on to further her education at Hofstra University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education. Carolyn was united in marriage to Larry Lee Lewis in 1966 in California. They lived for over thirty years in California and when Larry passed away Carolyn moved to Nebraska to be closer to family. She was an avid reader. Carolyn also enjoyed making crafts crocheting and sewing. Carolyn was a member of the Rainbow Girls and Eastern Star. Survivors include her nieces, Robin and husband James Jr., Screws of Lexington, Nebraska & Renae Van Ness of Cozad, Nebraska; also surviving are cousins, extended family and friends. A Worship Service will be on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall with Pastor Eddie Mariel, officiating.
