Billie E. Clements, 94, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Ridgeway Senior Living.
Billie was born on January 28, 1932, in Westboro, to Eldon and Vida (Clark) Peck, Sr. She was the oldest of six children. Her family later moved to Holdrege, where she attended public schools and graduated from Holdrege High School with the Class of 1950.
On June 3, 1951, Billie was united in marriage to Carroll E. Clements in Holdrege. Two sons were born to this union, Ed and Bill. Following their marriage, the couple moved to Overton, where Carroll worked for Smith Brothers Farming and Billie worked in the office at Kjar Hay and Grain. The family later moved to Lexington, where Billie spent the next 65 years and worked for John Deere as an administrative assistant.
Billie was deeply involved with First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, taught Sunday School, and was a member of Mariners, a church couples group. She also enjoyed participating in the ladies extension club, camping group, and volunteering at the Heartland Military Museum following her retirement.
An avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, Billie loved sports of all kinds. She enjoyed crafts, word searches, and crocheting. Above all, family meant everything to her, and she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her boys, Ed (Vickie) Clements of Lexington and Bill (Lori) Clements of North Sioux City, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Clements of Bennington, Ben (Melissa) Clements of Omaha, Eli Clements of North Sioux City, South Dakota, and Sadie (Alec) Roberts of Washington, D.C.; six great grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Emma, Nolan, Wesley, Ronan and one on the way; brothers, Eldon "Ed" (Elaine) Peck of Lexington, Jack (Shelley) Peck of Fort Collins, Colorado; sisters, Jill (James) Houston of Holdrege and Kathy Slayman of Lobel Ville, Tennessee.
Besides her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll; brother, Bob Peck; brother-in-law, Tom Slayman; and sister in-law, Jan Peck.
