Bea Lou (Richardson) King, 62, of Lexington died Sunday November 4, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family. Bea was born March 11, 1956, in Lexington, Nebraska, to William and Doris (Schnakenberg) Richardson. She attended elementary school at District 22, before the family moved to town. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1974. After high school Bea was employed at Plectron in Overton until 1977. She met her husband Ron when he moved to Lexington in 1976. They were united in marriage October 8, 1977. To this union, three children were born. She was an at-home daycare provider for 25 years, a para-educator at Morton Elementary School, she liked going to auctions with her father, going to garage sales, and started selling antiques online. When her mother passed away from cancer in 1991, she became involved with Relay For Life. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and participated in several clinical trials in Colorado and at the National Institute of Health in Maryland. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. She also enjoyed helping with the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed riding bicycles, participating in the women’s bowling league on Friday evenings, gardening, flowers, taking care of her many pets throughout her lifetime, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Ron King of Lexington, her children: Tucker King, Lincoln, Nebraska, Thad (Jennifer) King, Kearney, Nebraska, Melissa (Sam) BeDunnah, Lexington, Nebraska, grandchildren: Anthony and Betty King of Lincoln, Juniper Leet, Betty and Lula King of Kearney, and Judah BeDunnah of Minden. two brothers: Calvin (Cheryl) Richardson of Lexington, Nebraska, Kevin (Joyce) Richardson of Broken Bow, Nebraska; nieces and nephews: Ana Zavodsky, Omaha, Matthew (Krystal) Richardson, Lincoln, Nebraska, Nathan Richardson, Lincoln, Nebraska, Mishayla (Tim) Freburg, Gothenburg, Nebraska; two uncles: Norman (Phyllis ) Richardson of Elm Creek, Nebraska and John (Elaine) Richardson of Midwest City, Oklahoma. She also had numerous other cousins and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s parents, and her brother Dave. Funeral services will be Friday, November 9, at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington, Nebraska, with Pastor Rob Kuefner officiating.
