Ashlea Jean McFadden

March 10, 1988 — February 28, 2019

Ashlea Jean McFadden, 30, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at her home in Appleton. Ashlea was born March 10, 1988, to her father Jerry and mother Tonya in Kearney, Nebraska. Ashlea was then adopted by Betty Morris. After the death of Betty, she was raised by Duane and Jeri (MeMe) Garton. Ashlea attended school in Lexington and on June 28, 2008, she was united in marriage to Cody L. McFadden at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington. To this union two children were born: Michael and Natalie. The couple lived in Lexington where she had worked at Park Avenue Estates and Walmart. In 2012, the couple moved to Gardner, Kansas, where she was employed in restaurant service. In 2016 the couple moved to Amarillo, Texas, where she was employed at Walmart. She was very active in the Victory Church. She loved going to church and being a loving mother and wife. She spent the majority of her free time enjoying many activities with her children. She loved attending sporting events for Michael and gymnastics for Natalie. The couple was a true “team” with no family that lived nearby. In January of 2019 they moved to Wisconsin and she was again employed at Walmart. She loved her job and was recently selected for the Employee of the Month at the new Walmart. Ashlea loved her Kansas City Chiefs, her cat Chevy, music, and her family. Ashlea will be greatly missed by her friends, children, husband and the entire family. Survivors include: her husband Cody, one son, Michael and one daughter, Natalie all of Appleton, Wisconsin; her "MeMe" Jeri Garton of Callaway; her mother, Tonya; two brothers, Billy Rask of Lexington and Nick Fikar of Scottsbluff; two sisters, Brittney Schlund of Kearney and Stephanie Weinmaster of Cozad; her mother and father-in-law, Murray and Carol McFadden, both of Lexington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Ashlea was preceded in death by her father Jerry Donaly, Duane Garton, and her grandparents. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, March 8, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lexington with Reverend Anne Gahn, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
