Anna Leah Frerichs, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at the young age of 27 on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born on November 29, 1998, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Alvin and Cindy (Phillips) Frerichs. She was a proud graduate of SEM schools, graduating with the class of 2018. In early 2013, Anna moved to Mosaic and later on, with the support of the Community Supports Network, Anna returned to Kearney, where she continued to grow, thrive, and connect with the people who meant the most to her.

Anna possessed a uniquely infectious love. She had an intuitive understanding of those around her, always seeming to know when someone needed a hug, and never hesitating to offer one. It was typical of Anna to pick on her siblings and friends as a signature of her affection. Anna loved music and listening to her favorite tunes. Anna was also known as a master of hide-and-seek and was a natural escape artist, leaving many in awe of her ability to find the perfect hiding spot or slip away with a grin.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Cindy Frerichs of Sumner, Nebraska; siblings, Tammy (Chris) Dietz of Amherst, Nebraska, Jamie (Jason) Tellus of Yankton, South Dakota, Emma Frerichs and Jennifer Frerichs, both of Sumner, Jacob Frerichs of Lexington, John Frerichs of Illinois, and Calvin (Jackie) Frerichs of Holdrege; 22 nieces and nephews with one on the way; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Frerichs, and brothers, Joshua John and Andrew Frerichs.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Ken Hutson officiating.

Interment will be held after the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Lexington.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington.
