Angelina Navarrete Chavez, 19, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away unexpectedly as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Lexington.

She was born on October 7, 2005, in Fresno, California to Francisco and Maria (Chavez) Navarrete. The family later made their home in Lexington, Nebraska, where she graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 2023. Angelina spent some time working for Tyson in their production department, which she enjoyed.

Angelina was known by her friends and family as being incredibly brave and always moved forward no matter the situation, always bringing light to everyone around her. She had a quiet strength, a kind heart, and a deep love for her family. She was a self-less person, always focusing on helping others before she would help herself. There was a strong and bright aura about her that always shone through in her loving personality. In her free time, Angelina liked to draw, journal about her life, and listen to her some of her favorite artists. Music was something she truly cherished, it gave her peace and was a constant part of her life. She liked being at home with her family, helping out with chores, watching some Netflix, and hang out with her sisters and brothers. Whenever her dad needed some extra help, Angelina was always there to lend a hand. Being outside in nature was essential for her, and she always looked forward to her daily walks. Angelina's gentle and loving soul will be truly missed by those around her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father, Francisco Navarrete of Lexington; siblings, Josefina, Graciela, Isabel, Kristal, Francisco, Jr., Andrea, Alexis, Mariana, and Javier, all of Lexington; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many friends.
