Alan Bryant White, 75, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society-St. John's in Kearney, Nebraska.

He was born on December 5, 1948, in Lexington, Nebraska to Earl and Jessie (Fancolly) White. He attended Lexington Public Schools and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1967. Alan moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Parks Business School but was quickly drafted into the military. He joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. During his time in Vietnam, Alan repaired army helicopters that were being actively shot down. After serving in the military, he continued his education at Kearney State College.

Alan was united in marriage to Josephine Galaviz in Lexington. Three children were blessed to this union: Stacy, Kylee, and Nicholas. Alan spent many years working for New Holland, then transitioned to Fairbanks. He also worked for Arizona Machinery for seven years until the family moved back to Lexington where he worked for Landmark Implement until retirement.

Alan was an active member of Lexington Church of Christ and was a man of deep faith. He was also a family man who loved being with his wife and children, especially his ten sisters-in-law. He enjoyed having plenty of family dinners and getting together to talk and share stories. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a car fanatic. He would often spend hours tinkering with his cars, especially his Mercedes Benz. Reading was one of his passions and would always train his mind by reading history books where he retained as many facts as he could. He enjoyed listening to his daily news with Paul Harvey. Over the years, Alan would take his family on vacations and loved traveling with them to places like California, Arizona, and Georgia. Every year, he took his family to Colorado during the summers to go camping and spend quality time together. His favorite trip was when he had the opportunity to go on the Hero Flight to Washington D. C. It was a beautiful and lasting memory to honor his service in the military. His favorite hobby was being a papa to his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them palling around.

Those left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Josephine White of Lexington; children, Stacy White of Phoenix, Arizona, Kylee (Josh) Kuecker of Lexington, and Nicholas White of Lexington; grandchildren, Madelynn White-Nielsen, Reese Kuecker, Kipley Kuecker, Titan Irish, and Talan Irish; sister, Arlynn (Lloyd) Sisneros of Buckeye, Arizona; sister, Carolyn Means of Seward, Nebraska; his in-laws, Domingo (Marcy) Galaviz of Gibbon, Toni (Raymond) Garcia of Lexington, Anne Wellman of Cozad, Louisa (Nestor) Garcia of Ogallala, Carolyn (Mike) Smidt of Lexington, Rebecca Fitch of Lexington, Marilyn (Larry) Logan of Omaha, Ron (Cherie) Galaviz of Newbury Park, California, Rita Linley of Lexington, Natalie (Mike) Burns of Portland, Oregon and Deb Mettenbrink of Kearney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul White.
