Margaret L. Garcia, 91, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Saturday, September 16, 2017, at her home. She was born July 9, 1926, in Oconto, Nebraska, to William and Emma (Martin) Garringer. She attended school at Tuckerville rural school. After her schooling she worked for Emil Benthack at the Cornland Hotel. Margaret was married to Eddie Garcia on June 21, 1947, in Lexington. They just celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary. Three sons were blessed to this marriage; Brent, Dave & Ed. Margaret and Eddie owned and operated the Weaver’s Dry Cleaning and then Fashion Dry Cleaning. She was a Cub Scout leader when her sons were small, and enjoyed raising her sons, keeping her home, and being with family as the family grew. Margaret was always a friendly person. She enjoyed reading her Bible, flowers, but her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were the great joys in her life. Margaret was a member of the Berean Bible Church, and a past member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Eddie of Lexington, Nebraska; sons, Brent Garcia of Elwood, Nebraska, Dave (Susan) Garcia of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ed (Denice) Garcia of Lexington, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Scott Garcia of Elwood, Nebraska, Carey (Garret) Becker of Crookston, Minnesota, Megan (Jeff) Koch of Howe, Nebraska, David Garcia of Lincoln, Nebraska, Chad (Melissa) Garcia of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and Stacey (Brandon) Gibreal of Kearney, Nebraska; granddaughter-in-law, Dawn Garcia of Lincoln, Nebraska; ten great-grandchildren, Ricky, Jesse, Prudence, Keaton, Conner, Kyran, Kennedy, Grace, Gavin & Brody; three great-great-grandchildren, Corben, Opie, and Nathaniel; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, three sisters, and one great-grandson, Nathaniel, and great-great-granddaughter, Ivory. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Berean Bible Church in Lexington with Pastor Duane Russell officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
