Jose Ricardo Velasquez, Jr.

Jose Ricardo Velasquez, Jr., 24, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, June 26, 2017, as the result of a traffic accident. He was born January 7, 1993, in Fresno, California, to Jose Ricardo Velasquez Gonzalez and Cenorina Pedraza-Vizueth. Jose enjoyed lawn work, working out, lifting weights, listening to music, being with friends, BBQing, cooking, and being with family. Jose is survived by his mother and stepfather; Cenorina Pedraza-Vizueth and Placido Jesus Mendoza-Lopez of Lexington, Nebraska; father, Jose Ricardo Velasquez of Tennessee; five brothers, Luis Velasquez of Lexington, Nebraska, Moises, Josue, Isai Velasquez all of Texas, and Semai Velasquez of Tennessee; three sisters, Jaquelin (Yiye Rivera) Velasquez of Lexington, Nebraska, Denise “Erica” (Jose) Sanchez of New Mexico, and Stephanie Velasquez of Lincoln, Nebraska; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at Dios Es Amor Church with Pastor Santos Ordonez officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 1-6 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to the Family.
