Juanita "Janie" Hays, 70, of Cozad, Nebraska, died Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Cozad. She was born October 13, 1946, in Lexington, Nebraska, to Julio & Julia (Munoz) Chavez. She grew up in Cozad and attended school in Cozad. She was united in marriage to Thomas Titus. Juanita lived the majority of her life in the Cozad, Lexington & Omaha area. While living in Omaha, Juanita worked for J.C. Robinson Feed Company. She also worked at the Den in Lexington and for Hawkins Construction. Juanita enjoyed watching Husker football and cooking. She also enjoyed going on long car rides and vacations with her boyfriend David Gennrich of almost twenty years. But importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and dog, Frosty. Survivors include her children, Bobby Popham of Cozad, Nebraska, Tom Titus of Lincoln, Nebraska, Ed Hays of Omaha, Nebraska, Teri Sub of Cozad, Nebraska & Tammy (Julio) Rangel of Torrington, Wyoming; seven grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Reverend Jose Chavez, officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 22, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington.
