Annie May Pederson 93, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Oconto, Nebraska, joined her Heavenly Father on Oct 6, 2016. She was born Annie Hanson on Oct 8, 1922 in Oconto, Nebraska to Thomas Hanson and Myrtle Cole, who homesteaded there. Annie spent her childhood on the farm in Nebraska and graduated from Oconto High School, before moving to California and eventually Florida with the love of her life, Samuel J. Pederson. She spent many years volunteering with the Church she loved, and was strongly devoted to her Christian faith. Annie was a good homemaker and she enjoyed traveling with Samuel throughout their years together. She was strong, smart, kind and truly beloved by all who were fortunate to know her. Annie is preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, William, Edward and Robert. She is survived by her devoted husband Samuel Pederson of Jacksonville, Florida of over 47 years, her stepson Bruce (Judy) Pederson of Pismo Beach, California, her cherished sister Irene Jarrett of Dallas, Texas, two step grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer, officiating. Inurnment will take place following the service at Oconto Cemetery in Oconto. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
