Maria De La Angeles Chavez Cardenas

Maria De La Angeles Chavez Cardenas, 39, of Lexington, Nebraska, died on Monday, September 19, 2016, at Lexington Regional Health Center. She was born on September 15, 1977, at Sauyho, Michoacan, Mexico, to Javier Chavez & Angelina Ordas. Maria grew up in Mexico and moved to the United States in 1995. She lived in Fresno, California, and that is where she met Francisco. They moved to Lexington, Nebraska, in 2009. Maria loved being a mother and she enjoyed babysitting the neighborhood children. She enjoyed taking her children to Burger King and was also a very good cook. Maria was a faithful and active member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church and also enjoyed prayer group. Survivors include her significant other Francisco Navarrete, two sons, Francisco and Javier, eight daughters, Josefina, Graciela, Isabel, Cristal, Angelina, Andrea, Alexis & Mariana all of Lexington, Nebraska, five brothers and six sisters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian of Burial will be on Monday, September 26, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Jose Chavez, officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, from 4-6 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington. Rosary will be on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
