C. June Woehrle, 84, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Brookdale in Lexington. She was born November 30, 1931, in Cozad, Nebraska, to Calvin Howard and Rose Alice (Cochran) Howell. She was a 1949 graduate of Cozad High School. On July 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Harry O. Woehrle at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington. Three children were blessed to this marriage; Cathy, Vicki, and Brad. Following Harry’s service in the military the family moved to Grand Island, Nebraska, where Harry worked for Robert’s Dairy. They moved to Lexington in 1954. June worked for Pittenger’s Dairy Sweet, helped Harry deliver milk, and worked at the bowling alley. June was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran church and the Women’s International Bowling Congress. She also helped coach youth bowling. Her hobbies included; gardening, quilting, bowling, playing cards and marbles, attending sporting events, and family get-togethers. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved visiting with friends, and just “loved people”. She is lovingly survived by her children; Brad (Rael) Woehrle of Elwood, Nebraska; daughter, Vicki (Hal) Lux of Lexington, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, Diana (George) Bender of Omaha, Nebraska, Meagan (Craig) Nelson of Omaha, Nebraska, Phillip (Keri) Carpenter of North Carolina, Ranae Lux of Lexington, Nebraska, Shaun (Tina) Lux of Lexington, Nebraska, Alicia (Tyler) McCarter of Lexington, Nebraska, and Ethan, Garrett and Taylor Woehrle of Elwood, Nebraska; eleven great-grandchildren; five brothers, Jim Howell of Lexington, Nebraska, Marvin (Bonnie) Howell of Maxwell, Nebraska, Lloyd (Merna) Howell of Denver, Colorado, Terry (AeCha) Howell of Cozad, Nebraska, and Gary (Anna) Howell of Cozad, Nebraska; two sisters, Kay (Dean) Zimmerman of Mesquite, Texas, and Barb (Kenny) Anderson of Cozad, Nebraska. Also surviving, are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry; daughter, Cathy Carpenter; four sisters, Sherry Bartes, Marlene Sherman, Norma Baker, and DonnaBelle Rodine; as well as two brothers, Ronald Howell and Johnny Howell. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with Pastor Rob Kuefner officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Lexington. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lexington Fire Department, or Dawson County Relay for Life. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
