Dennis James Hines

Dennis James Hines, 58, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016, from a work related accident in Lincoln, Nebraska, at Mid-American Recycling Center. Dennis was born November 4, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to James and Fay (Stovall) Hines. He grew up in Chicago, graduating from Hirsch Metropolitan High School in 1975. Dennis moved to Lexington in May of 2008 to work at Tyson Fresh Meats. He loved music, and following and watching all sporting events. Dennis had a great sense of humor, was a kind soul who loved all people, but most of all, he loved his family and spending time with the grandchildren. Survivors include his long-time partner, Arletta McBride of Lexington, Nebraska; two sons, Damen White of Chicago, Illinois, and Michael McBride of Madison, Wisconsin; one daughter, Denise McBride of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; also surviving are his local nephew, Charles Burgess of Lexington, Nebraska; as well as other nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at LexChristian Church in Lexington with Pastor Daniel Sauer officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington. Dennis’s body will be cremated following the funeral service on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.
