Lucille O.Quinn, 86, of Lincoln, Nebraska, departed this life Sunday, November 18, 2007, at Milder Manor in Lincoln.
She was born August 23, 1921, at Powell, Wyoming, to Roy and Katie (Coady) Martin. Lucille was the only daughter of seven children.
Lucille attended school at Lake Alice School at Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Evertt J. Quinn on March 21, 1939, at McCook, Nebraska. This union was blessed with five children, Shirley, Ronald, John, Peggy, and Patrick.
Lucille’s wishes were to be cremated. A Private viewing of Lucille will be held at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, Nebraska. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Evertt at Oxford, Nebraska. Lucille’s oldest son, Ronald, will be laid to rest with her.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be decided by the family, at a later date.
Besides being a wife, mother and homemaker, she did several other jobs. She cooked at the care home in Blue Hill, Nebraska, owned and operated the E&L Café, also at Blue Hill, was the Green Thumb lady at the Grand Generation Center in Lexington, Nebraska, and did babysitting. She enjoyed crocheting, playing pinochle, dancing, reading, and in her later years making jewelry with beads. She always had a smile for you. Strokes made it difficult for her to speak and eat; however, she was always up for the challenge and overcame these problems by learning to speak and eat again.

Nine Grandchildren: Dirk (Sue) Higgins of North Platte, Nebraska; Troy (Jennifer) Higgins of Columbus, Nebraska; Alisa Pauley of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Kelli Dankert of Great Bend, Kansas; Jay Quinn of Lincoln, Nebraska; Jill (Cody) Behrends of Firth, Nebraska; Kaleb and Cody Quinn of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; and Chris Hurtz of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Seven great-grandchildren: Jennifer Favinger of Chadron, Nebraska; Tyler, Jade, and Tevin Higgins of Columbus, Nebraska; Paige Dankert of Great Bend, Kansas; Hannah and Lillian Pauley of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
